Ground Engineering is delighted to bring you its 2nd Smart Geotechnics conference

An essential gathering that builds on the GE Instrumentation and Monitoring conference.

The event is aimed at anyone involved in geotechnical monitoring, data analysis and ground modelling, looking for up-to-date insights into projects and smart technologies, including the use of cloud computing and artificial intelligence.

These are exciting times for the industry as major projects are already well underway. To find solutions to today’s challenges – from carbon to cost reductions – new techniques are being introduced to change how we monitor assets and structures. Clients are also looking to better understand the data collected and its applications.

Whether you are a project manager on a complex tunnel scheme, a designer looking to mitigate the risks to third party assets or a client engineer wanting to build and improve your knowledge of the ground and its interaction with structures, this is an important event for you to attend.

We are delighted to be bringing the industry back together in 2023. Smart Geotechnics will be co-located with the annual GE Basements and Underground Structures conference.

Early Careers Challenge

GE and Mott MacDonald are delighted to announce the first Early Careers Challenge

The challenge offers early careers professionals, postgraduates and undergraduates an exciting opportunity to compete and win the coveted ECC trophy, as well as gain exposure to the wider geotechnical sector.

The challenge will incorporate ground engineering, sustainability and digital knowledge, testing your problem solving and pitching skills. The teams will be given a geotechnical challenge to solve and will be guided throughout by mentors from the wider industry. This will be a unique opportunity for early career individuals and students to inspire each other and collaborate, while gaining intelligence from senior leaders in the industry.
